Dr. Alan Namazi

Upon graduation from veterinary school, Alan followed his passion for racing horses by working for the Royal family of Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi). He was responsible for the veterinary care of some of the worlds’ top racing horses and competed himself as a rider in various international Endurance events as well.

In 2003, Dr. Namazi joined United Nation’s “Asian Cheetah” project where he had a chance to research and work with Cheetahs closely in Afghanistan, India, Iran and Emirates.

Alan practiced small animal medicine and surgery for few years in Calgary, Alberta where he had a chance to take advance training in Surgery and Critical care before moving to Vancouver in 2012. Dr. Namazi has a special interest in application of Regenerative Medicine and Stem cells in treatment of dogs with Osteoarthritis and Orthopedic surgery. He has been also successfully completed several advance training in feline and Canine dentistry. He is a former member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and active member of College of Veterinarian of British Columbia.

Dr. Namazi and his little family are the proud founder of Vancouver Downtown Pet Hospital. He is looking forward to meet you and your furry family member soon.
